About accord

accord is where you keep ranked lists of the things you love: books you’ve read, films you’ve seen, places you’ve been. You share them with your connections.

There’s no feed here, and no algorithm deciding what you see. Just the people you know and the things they rate, so when you want a book to read or somewhere to eat you can start from taste you already trust.

What we believe

• Connections first. The value is in people you know, not in reach or virality.
• Privacy by default. Every list has its own visibility control, and the default is closed, not broadcast.
• Your groups are yours. How you sort your connections into groups is visible only to you, never to the people in them.
• No dark patterns. We don’t sell your data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t chase your attention.

How it works

Pick what a list is about (Books, Films, Music, Places and more) and accord gives it a consistent shape. Books pull cover art and details from OpenLibrary, and places from OpenStreetMap; other types are free text for now. Rank the items, sort them into tiers, and share each list with everyone, a single friend group, or no one at all.
